Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: January 21, 2026
Welcome to Pophood. By accessing or using our website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Site. Simple as that.
1. Who We Are
Pophood is operated by Wolfbound LLC. We're a platform built for modern pops, creating a space that supports, equips, and connects those navigating fatherhood—with purpose, ownership, and progress. Our platform has two main pillars:
- Stories: Share and read real experiences—the situations, solutions, and lessons learned
- The Trenches: Ask questions, get help, and support other pops going through it
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Pophood. By creating an account or using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete their data. If you believe someone under 18 is using the platform, please report it to support@pophood.com.
3. Community Guidelines
We don't tolerate hate, harassment, or harmful behavior—online or offline. You're welcome to be raw and honest, but keep it respectful. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any user who violates the spirit or letter of this community.
- No hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks
- No harassment or bullying of other members
- No spam, self-promotion, or commercial content
- No illegal content or activity
- No explicit or inappropriate content (photos are automatically moderated)
4. Your Content
You can share stories, questions, responses, photos, and other content ("Content") on the platform. Here's the deal:
- You retain ownership of your Content.
- By posting, you grant Pophood a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content for operating and promoting the platform.
- Stories can be posted anonymously—your identity stays hidden, but the content license still applies.
- Photos you upload appear in your profile and may appear in our community gallery.
- Don't post anything illegal, harmful, or plagiarized.
- Once a story has reactions from others, it becomes read-only to preserve the community's engagement.
By posting Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to post the Content
- The Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- If your Content includes images of other people, you have obtained their consent (or parental consent for minors)
The license you grant us survives account deletion for Content that has been shared with or relied upon by other users (such as stories with reactions). You may delete Content you own, subject to our content policies.
5. Stories and Connections
Pophood enables connections between pops through our Stories feature:
- You can allow or disallow questions on your stories (per-story or account-wide)
- Questions are rate-limited (3 per day per user) to prevent spam
- Story authors receive questions via email—actual conversations happen outside the platform
- Anonymous stories can still receive questions, but your identity remains protected
6. Photo Uploads and Moderation
You can upload photos to your profile. Here's how it works:
- Photos are automatically scanned for inappropriate content using AI moderation
- Community members can report photos they believe violate our guidelines
- Reported photos are reviewed by our team, and we may remove content or suspend accounts
- By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share the image and it doesn't violate anyone's privacy
7. Photos of Children
Pophood is a platform for fathers. We understand that your children are central to your identity as a pop. If you choose to upload photos that include minors:
- You represent that you have legal authority to consent on behalf of any minor depicted (i.e., you are their parent or legal guardian)
- You understand these photos may appear in your profile, the community gallery, and platform promotional materials
- You accept full responsibility for the decision to share images of minors online
- Other users may not download, copy, or redistribute photos of minors from this platform without express permission from the photo owner
We strongly encourage you to consider the privacy implications of sharing children's images online. Once posted, content can be difficult to fully remove from the internet.
If you believe a photo of a minor was posted without proper consent, contact us immediately at support@pophood.com.
8. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Any personal info you share with us is governed by our Privacy Policy, which you should actually read.
9. Use of AI
We use artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance your experience:
- Content moderation: AI helps scan photos for inappropriate content
- Content assistance: AI may help summarize or surface relevant content
- AI is a tool—it may make mistakes
Every story, every question, every response on Pophood comes from a real pop. We will never use AI to generate content or pretend to be a member of this community. That's a promise.
10. Intellectual Property
All site content, branding, logos, and designs are owned by Pophood or licensed to us. Don't steal it. Ask nicely if you want to collaborate.
11. No Advice Disclaimer
We're not doctors, therapists, or lawyers. The content on Pophood is for informational and inspirational purposes only. Stories and advice shared by other pops are their personal experiences—use your own judgment and consult professionals when needed.
12. Merch, Memberships, and Paid Stuff
If and when we offer paid products or services (like merch or member features), separate terms may apply. We'll make those clear when the time comes.
13. Accounts and Security
If you create an account with us:
- You're responsible for keeping your login information secure
- Your account is personal—don't share credentials or let others use your account
- Let us know right away if you think someone's messing with your account
- We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or are inactive for extended periods
14. Third-Party Services
Pophood uses third-party services to operate:
- Clerk: Handles user authentication and account security (Clerk Terms of Use)
- Cloudinary: Stores and processes uploaded photos (Cloudinary Terms of Use)
- Azure Content Safety: AI service for photo content moderation (Microsoft AI Services Code of Conduct)
- Resend: Sends transactional emails like story questions (Resend Terms of Service)
- Contentful: Content management system for blog articles (Contentful Terms of Service)
These services have their own terms and privacy policies. By using Pophood, you acknowledge the use of these services.
15. User Content and Platform Liability
Pophood is a platform for user expression. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for content posted by users. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, Pophood is not treated as the publisher or speaker of user-generated content.
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove content that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. Our moderation decisions are final.
16. Accessibility
We're committed to making Pophood accessible to everyone. If something on the site isn't working for you, tell us—we want to make it better.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pophood, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Site or violation of these Terms
- Content you post or share on the platform
- Your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
- Any dispute between you and another user of the platform
This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pophood and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Any loss of profits, data, use, or other intangibles
- Any damages arising from user content or user interactions
- Any damages exceeding the greater of (a) $100 or (b) amounts paid by you to Pophood in the 12 months prior to the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above limitations may not apply.
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
19. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@pophood.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:
- Violation of these Terms or Community Guidelines
- Conduct that is harmful to other users or the platform
- Extended inactivity
- Request from law enforcement or government agency
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Site immediately ceases
- Content you posted may remain on the platform per our content policies
- Anonymous stories remain as they were never associated with your identity
- Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive (including Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, and Dispute Resolution)
20. Dispute Resolution
Most disputes can be resolved by contacting support@pophood.com. We encourage you to reach out before taking formal action.
BINDING ARBITRATION: Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Pophood that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in San Diego County, California, unless you and Pophood agree otherwise.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Pophood.
OPT-OUT: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@pophood.com within 30 days of creating your account. The notice must include your name, email, and a clear statement that you opt out.
EXCEPTIONS: Either party may bring claims in small claims court. Nothing in this section prevents Pophood from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access.
21. Changes to Terms
We might update these Terms as the platform grows. If we do, we'll post the updated terms and change the effective date. Your continued use of Pophood means you're cool with the updates.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal disputes will be handled in the courts of San Diego County, California.
